I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got the invite to drive the new Vantage. Sure, the numbers looked impressive on paper—more power, more tech—but what really matters is how it feels on the road. After spending a day with it on some of the best driving roads in the UAE, I can say this: the new Vantage isn’t just quick, it’s got real soul. It’s the kind of car that reminds you why you fell in love with driving in the first place.
Unreal Design
Let’s start with the obvious: this car looks insane. It’s lower, meaner, and wider than before—30mm wider to be exact—and that front grille? Massive. It looks like it wants to eat everything in front of it. The whole thing is a blend of muscle and elegance. Picture James Bond with a switchblade. You get sharp new lights, a redesigned splitter, and those 21” wheels that just sit perfectly in the arches. From the rear, it’s got presence. Quad exhausts, a beefed-up bumper, and a stance that screams “don’t mess with me.”

Inside: A Proper Cockpit
Aston finally sorted the interior out. The old infotainment system was from the Stone Age, but now there’s a proper 10.25” touchscreen that actually works well. Wireless CarPlay is in, and there’s a new app that lets you mess with settings from your phone. But what I loved most? The buttons. Real buttons. No digging through menus to turn on the AC or change drive modes. Everything is tactile. Everything makes sense.
The leather, the stitching, the seats—all feel properly premium. And if you opt for the Bowers & Wilkins sound system, you get one of the best in the game. But honestly, you’re not gonna use it much. Because the engine? That’s the music you came for.

The Heart: Twin-Turbo V8 Madness
Under the hood is a reworked 4.0L twin-turbo V8 pumping out 665PS and 800Nm. It sounds monstrous. Every time you touch the throttle, it just goes. 0–60 in 3.4 seconds is quick, sure, but it’s the way it delivers power that gets you. It’s raw, loud, but still refined when you want it to be.
The 8-speed ZF auto is fast and smart, especially in the more aggressive drive modes. Shifts are crisp, and downshifts come with a proper bark. Launch control is a riot too—you can even dial in how much wheelspin you want. No joke.
Handling: Razor Sharp
This is where it gets silly good. You feel everything. The steering is super direct, with just enough weight and zero fake feel. The car sits on a bonded aluminum chassis with adaptive Bilstein dampers, and it’s tuned to perfection. You can chuck it into corners and it just sticks. There’s grip for days, and when it does slide, it does it so predictably you’d think you’re a pro.
The new E-diff and ESP setup is clever as hell. You get different drive modes and even Adjustable Traction Control with 8 levels, so you can slowly turn the car into a drift machine if you feel brave. Honestly, it’s one of the most confidence-inspiring rear-wheel-drive cars I’ve ever driven.
The Tech Doesn’t Get in the Way

Aston crammed in all the tech you’d expect—lane assist, adaptive cruise, collision warnings—but it’s not overbearing. The focus is clearly on the drive. Even the ESP system feels more like a co-pilot than a nanny. It helps when you need it, and gets out of the way when you don’t.
The 6D Inertial Measurement Unit is fancy talk for a system that knows exactly what the car is doing at all times. But what really matters is how it all comes together. It doesn’t feel over-engineered. It feels natural.
Verdict: One of the Best Sports Cars Out There
This isn’t just the best Vantage yet—it might be the best sports car Aston Martin has ever made. It’s fast, loud, sharp, and engaging in a way most modern cars just aren’t. It doesn’t try to be a daily driver with some power. It’s a driver’s car, full stop.
It’s not cheap, and yeah, some low-speed comfort is sacrificed for that sharp handling. But if you’re someone who loves driving—who wants every corner to matter—this car is for you.
Final Thoughts
This car is for people who still enjoy the feel of the road, the sound of a proper V8, and the thrill of getting a corner just right. It’s not perfect, but it’s damn close. It reminded me why I love driving in the first place.
What I Loved:
- That V8 roar and relentless pull
- Steering and handling that actually talk to you
- Proper cockpit layout with physical controls
Man… This one’s for the drivers.
