25hours Hotel One Central, Dubai’s distinctive and creative hospitality concept, announced an artistic collaboration with Ali Cha’aban, the celebrated Lebanese artist, and FLAVA Lab, the visionary design house. The trio presents ‘KURSI’, a magnificent chair installation launching on June 27, speaking about the importance of acknowledging and embracing history, while also making inroads into the future. Through this project, they will highlight how far the region has come over time.

‘KURSI’ pays homage to the Middle East’s incredible cultural growth. Located in the lobby of 25hours Hotel, the chair installation is a tribute to designs of the past, the present, and the future. Upon seeing it, viewers will be encouraged to look back on their own heritage and be inspired to shape the innovations of our future.
The Kursi design is the brainchild of Ali Cha’aban and FLAVA Lab. Their concept features faux silver leather and PVC for a sleek, futuristic look. Its tufted design stands at 1.8 meters high, and an impressive
carpet installation of 8.5 meters. However, despite its grand presence, it boasts mobility and modernity in spades, showcasing the design’s alignment with the times. Complementing the chair is a large carpet inspired by traditional Persian tapestry, with intricate patterns and colours.

By bringing the elegance of a Persian carpet as my core element, this ethereal intersection of art and design, where tradition meets innovation, becomes an embodiment of history, progress, and the perpetual dance of time.”
