Let’s come together to celebrate the women of the UAE.
On August 28, the UAE will celebrate Emirati Women’s Day, to recognize the vital role women play in the development and progress of the country. The day was established by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Mother of the Nation”. The celebration aligns with the anniversary of the establishment of the UAE’s General Women’s Union, which was founded on the same day 49 years ago.
Every year, Emirati Women’s Day is marked with a special theme, one that celebrates an avenue of women’s excellence in the UAE. The theme for this year’s edition hasn’t been announced yet, but while we wait for that, there is so much to get excited about.
KHAMSA presents a complete rundown of Emirati Women’s Day, including the things to buy and the women to follow!
