Saint Laurent Productions announced three long featured films set to compete in the 2024 official selection of the 77th edition of the illustrious Cannes Film Festival. The selection includes Emilia Perez by Jacques Audiard, The Shrouds by David Cronenberg, and Parthenope by Paolo Sorrentino.
This venture will make Saint Laurent the first fashion house to add full-fledged production of films to its activities. The film division is in line with Anthony Vaccarello’s vision for the future of the brand, which involves adding nuances to their collections through a cinematic approach.
Emilia Perez



Emilia Perez stars Zoe Saldana, Selena Gomez, Edgar Ramirez, Karla Sofia Gascon, and Adriana Paz. The story follows Rita, a frustrated lawyer at a large firm that would rather help criminals escape than put them behind bars. One day, she receives an out in the form of cartel leader Manitas, who hires her to help him exit his business and realize a plan years in the making.

The Shrouds

The Shrouds stars Vincent Cassei, Diane Kruger, Guy Pearce, and Sandrine Holt. It follows around 50-year-old businessman Karsh, who is inconsolable sice the death of his wife. Grief-stricken, he invents GraveTech, a controversial piece of technology that allows people to monitor their dead friends and family in their shrouds. All is fine until one day, multiple graves, including that of Karsh’s wife, are desecrated, prompting him to track down those responsible.
It is produced by Said Ben Said, Martin Katz, and Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello.
Parthenope

Parthenope stars Dario Aita, Celeste Dalla Porto, Silvia Degrandi, Isabella Ferrari, and many others. It spotlights the long journey of Parthenope’s life from 1950 until the present day. It is a feminine epic that embodies the spirit of freedom, love, and youth. How emotions spiral in life with the passing of time, set in the Naples background, forms the story.
