Viral On Tiktok: The Trends Ruling Feeds

The magic of TikTok lies in how it can turn a single line, look, or sound into a shared cultural moment. These trends are more than just for quick laughs – they shape the way we connect online, spark creativity, and keep our feeds buzzing with energy. From the retro warmth of “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” to the clever fashion flips of “throwing a fit,” the hard hitting truths that follow “Who said that?,” and much more show how simple ideas can take on a life of their own. In this article, KHAMSA unpacks it favorite hits on Tikok and the fun ways they’ve captured attention.

١. Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday!

Oh, this one.

A sound replaying in our heads (or at least mine, as an avid TikTok user), the wholesome Jet2 commercial that was meant to sell budget – friendly family getaways, but the internet had other plans

Originally, the ad was all sunshine and smiles – families splashing in pools, beach strolls at golden hour, and Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand playing in the background as the narrator promised, “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday.” Heartwarming, right? Fast-forward to 2024, and TikTok creators have given it an ironic twist, pairing the cheery slogan with clips of camel chaos, luggage disasters, dodgy hotel rooms, rental car mishaps, and overall funny disasters.

Now, the trend:

The contrast is comedic gold, and the trend is spreading fast, proving that nothing – not even a marketing team’s best intentions – can beat TikTok’s knack for turning sincerity into meme magic.

٢. Throwing a fit!

On TikTok, “throwing a fit” no longer means stomping your feet – it means stepping out in style. The trend flips the phrase into a playful reveal, with creators teasing the words before showing off fashion choices that range from chic to absurd. Born out of fashion TikTok, it’s since spread to couples, friends, and comedians who twist the reveal for laughs.

Its cultural moment came when Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick posted their viral take, with Kyra wearing pants covered in Footloose stills. Another cultural reset came when F1 picked up this trend. Mastering both speed and style. From creators to comedians,the trend shows how one phrase can be stretched into both a fashion stage and a punchline.

٣. Who said that?

@hesky

Guys who was that😣😣😣😭😭😭 #whosaidthat

TikTok has taken the phrase “Who said that?” and turned it into a wink – and- run kind of comedy. In the trend, a creator faces away from the camera, delivers a shamelessly bold or brutally honest statement, then snaps their head back with wide – eyed innocence to ask, “Who said that?” The joke lies in the pretend ignorance – owning the thought without really owning it. It’s become a playground for everything from petty roasts to self-drags, and even BookTok has adopted it for hot takes on plot twists and overrated authors. The beauty of the format is its flexibility: one line, one head turn, and endless ways to make it sting or sparkle.

٤. Mommy? Mamacita!

This one’s for the chronically online crowd!

TikTok has been buzzing over a clip from Love Island USA Season 7, where Huda reveals she’s a mom, and Nic’s confused reaction sparks a viral moment. In Episode 9, Huda says, “I’m a mommy,” and Nic replies, “Mommy? Mamacita!… mom of what? A dog?” This innocent back – and – forth quickly inspired a wave of club-style remixes, EDM edits with dog barks, and original songs by artists like JMKO.

The trend exploded beyond TikTok, catching the attention of Jimmy Fallon, Karol G, and even the Empire State Building, all joining in on the fun. Love Island USA continues to deliver meme-worthy moments, and this one is already a top contender for 2025’s funniest line.

٥. Is this Illegal?

@celinesamaha_

It’s totally legal!🤭🥹💗🫂👯‍♀️

♬ Illegal – PinkPantheress

TikTok has turned PinkPantheress’s “Illegal” – the breezy, garage-pop opening track from her second mixtape, Fancy That into a viral trend. Released on June 6, 2025, the song begins with the line, “My name is Pink, and I’m really glad to meet you / You’re recommended to me by some people,” a clever, catch – all intro that users love remixing.

The trend typically has two creators mock-shaking hands while mouthing the lyric, then overlaying humorous captions to highlight their differences, all playfully questioning, “Is this illegal? It’s cheeky, relatable, and endlessly editable, which is exactly why it’s exploded. Over a thousand TikToks now use the sound, with big creators like our very own Huda Beauty and Love Island’s Huda Mustafa!
