Balenciaga made its presence known at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival, dressing a standout group of guests for the Kering Women in Motion Awards and the Presidential Dinner, held at Place de la Castre on May 18. In a setting where cinematic and sartorial excellence meet, each look spoke to the house’s vision of modern elegance and meticulous craftsmanship.

Nicole Kidman wore Look 51 from Balenciaga’s 52nd Couture collection — a high neck gown in red guipure lace, styled with Knife 110 mm pumps in red spandex. A powerful silhouette softened by intricate lace.
François-Henri Pinault
The Kering chairman wore a custom-made Balenciaga tuxedo. His look featured a single-breasted two-button jacket in black lightweight fine wool with a black satin peak lapel, straight-leg pants, and a white popeline shirt. He finished the ensemble with a Balenciaga Couture bow tie and cummerbund in black satin, and Rim Derbies in black glazed leather.


Mark Eydelshteyn
Mark Eydelshteyn wore a made-to-measure version of Look 3 from the Winter 25 collection. His tailored jacket and pants in dark navy wool pinstripe were paired with a baby blue cotton poplin shirt, a bordeaux and navy silk tie, a tailoring belt in black calfskin, and Monsieur Derbies in black carrera lux calfskin.
Patrick Schwarzenegger
Patrick wore a made-to-measure take on Look 1 from the Winter 25 collection. The all-black ensemble featured a tailored jacket in escorial wool, straight tailored pants in stretch twill, a white cotton poplin shirt, a black silk tie, a black calfskin belt, and Monsieur Derbies.
