A few tricks can go a long way.

A few weeks ago, Anna Annora, a beauty & lifestyle TikTok user, posted a video showing how to get “celebrity-calibre” makeup that attracted over 20 million views and two million likes. The video is split into two parts as she takes you through the full makeup routine.

While Annora explains the steps in details, we’ve put together a simple breakdown of how to achieve that celeb glow on your own.

Step ١ | Tinting your cheeks

In order to get the appearance of glowing from within, a liquid tint (which can be used on lips as well as cheeks) should be used as a base before any other makeup is applied. This is the secret for a natural glow.

We like Benefit’s Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain. Shop on Sephora.

Step ٢ | Applying foundation (or BB cream)

Apply foundation to the back of your hand, and use a brush to spread the product evenly. In order to achieve a natural appearance, avoid applying foundation directly over the blush area and build up the coverage as you go.

We like Rare Beauty’s Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation. Shop on Sephora.

Step ٣ | Applying concealer

Using a beauty sponge, blend the concealer around your orbital bone only. If you blend the product underneath your eye, you will end up with a crease. You will look fresh regardless of the dark circles you may have as you’ve already covered most of it. The key is to try to look as natural as possible.

We like NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer. Shop on Sephora.

Step ٤ | Adding some bronze

Use a bronzer stick and a brush. Do not use the stick on your face, but rather pat the brush on the product and pat evenly onto your cheekbones. This will allow for a sheer layer and a smooth blend.

We like Makeup By Mario’s Soft Sculpt™ Shaping Stick. Shop on Sephora.

Step ٥ | Setting the look

You should only apply the translucent powder over the areas where you applied foundation.

We like Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder. Shop on Sephora.

Step ٦ | Adding some powder blush

If you’d like a bit more dimension to your blush, distribute a different shade of powder blush across your nose, chin, and maybe a little on your cheeks too.

We like Pat McGrath Labs’ Skin Fetish: Divine Blush. Shop on Sephora.

Step ٧ | The final touches

Finish off the look with your favourite liner, mascara, and lip products. This is where you can decide how dark or soft you want your look to be. To complement the light look, use brown mascara and skin-tone complimenting gloss.

We like YSL’s Lash Clash Brown Mascara. Shop on Sephora. For the gloss, we like Dior’s Dior Addict Lip Maximizer. Shop on Sephora.

And there you have it, that effortless celeb glow!
