Dior Beauty has recently announced Palestinian musician Saint Levant as the brand’s Middle Eastern representative — marking it as a first for Dior. The announcement comes as part of the launch of Dior’s Gris Dior fragrance, which Saint Levant will now promote as a brand ambassador.

The 22-year-old artist, whose real name is Marwan Abdelhamid, rose to fame after his song “Very Few Friends” went viral on social media. His blend of contemporary pop music, which incorporates multiple languages, garnered a lot of attention from fans worldwide. With roots in Palestine, Algeria, France, and Serbia, Saint Levant’s multicultural background is an essential aspect of his artistry.

Saint Levant, who now resides in Los Angeles, was born and raised in the Gaza Strip before his family was forced to flee to Jordan due to the civil war in 2007.

In March 2023, Saint Levant independently released his debut EP titled “From Gaza, with love”. The six-track EP features songs in multiple languages, including Arabic, French, and English. After releasing the EP, Saint Levant attended the Grey Zone event in Los Angeles — a digital immersion in Gris Dior 3.0 that allowed guests to immerse themselves in the world of Dior.
