In the days leading up to the event, the renowned French artist André has been captivating the attention of Angelinos with his two-tone posters, featuring CHANEL’s signature black, white and beige colors juxtaposed with his own vibrant hues.
André, whose full name is André Saraiva, is a renowned French graffiti artist, painter, and nightlife entrepreneur. Born in Sweden in 1971, he grew up in Paris and began his artistic career in the 1980s as a graffiti artist, working under the name “Mr. A.” Over the years, André has developed his own unique style, which features a cartoonish character with a top hat and crossed-out eyes.
This season, for CHANEL, André is introducing posters that showcase a lineup of illustrious names, including ambassadors and friends of the iconic House, such as Margaret Qualley, Nile Rodgers, Marion Cotillard or Whitney Peak – one of the most recent ambassador.
