The ROCKNRUN sneakers offer a sporty factor and practicality in spades.
Christian Louboutin is set to explore the sporty side of life, launching a bold new line of performance sneakers dubbed ‘ROCKNRUN‘. It blends technical excellence with Louboutin’s personal aesthetic, offering four distinct colourways and an online exclusive.
The ROCKNRUN represents the pinnacle of light weight and comfort in the menswear sneaker category. It is carefully constructed for a snug fit. The comfort level is a progressive upgrade from the highly-successful ‘Astroloubi’ sneaker that was launched last year. Christian Louboutin has adapted multiple technical aspects from it for ROCKNRUN, making it eye-catching, stylish, and practical.
The studs, which are an iconic signature of the Maison, are present in the rubber across the back of the show. A looping version of the Louboutin logo is emblazoned across the upper, and in an all-new interpretation, the world-famous red sole has been specially conceived for physical activity. To prioritize the athletic side of things, the sole has been made using material that offers grip and durability. The foot itself is stabilized by a high-density arch support, a performance toe spring that facilitates forward motion, and a raised ‘crash pad zone’ under the heel that assists the transfer of weight from the back to the front of the foot. The heel is made from encapsulated foam that cushions the foot with the right amount of bounce.
It is clear that the ROCKNRUN is a modern shoe made for the present. It is also a shining example of sustainability with the use of environmentally friendly materials that are easy to process and recyclable in the sole, and with an upper that is made using 80% recycled polyester. There are two light and breathable knits that were designed to be combined in thermo-adhesive layers to showcase the contrasting finishing, prints and colours used in the graphic colourways. Late-night city runners will be keen on the practicality of the shoe as well.
