Celine’s Summer 2023 collection “Saint Tropez” depicts effortless and chic looks set against nature’s backdrop in fluctuating black-and-white and coloured shots that evoke nature’s timeless beauty. Celine’s creative director Hedi Slimane’s collection embodies the laid-back look by focusing on the ultimate indie cool girl. The collection evokes nostalgia while embodying an indie summer. Various looks were exhibited on a beach-front dock, accompanied by close-ups and pull-backs highlighting the location and the collection in Saint-Tropez. Featuring the “Original Skinny Jeans” and the “Cabas Bag”, Slimane’s homage to his 2000s era brings back several items that have been waiting a long time to return. Initially created by Slimane in the early 2000s, the low-rise jeans harken back to an era when high-rise trousers were almost unheard of.
