From bold colors to exquisite fabrics, this year’s Milan menswear fashion designers presented a diverse array of styles for the upcoming season.

Milan Fashion Week kicked off Men’s Fall Winter 2023 collection presentation last week. The week-long event showcased the latest collections for the upcoming fall/winter season from designers such as Prada, Etro, Zegna and many others. Some of the key trends that emerged from the runway included bold colors, oversized silhouettes, and a focus on fabrics.

All eyes on Milan. Scroll down for our round-up of best trends and collections.

Prada – “Let’s Talk About Clothes”

Prada’s “Let’s Talk About Clothes” did not go unnoticed. The menswear collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons celebrated the combination of classic tailoring and modern, comfort-inspired pieces. The co-designers also championed the use of bold colors and graphic prints as standard features, offering a collection that goes back to fragments of Prada’s heritage and archives.

The pointed collar was a notable feature in the collection. Introduced on colorful shirts, the pointed tips extended beyond the width of the collar itself. The co-designers worked on a larger and exaggerated feature that would pair perfectly with oversized blazers, tailored pants, and chunky sneakers – à la Prada.

Making the looks modern and sharp, the pointed collars also offered a bit of drama (which we’re all for!).

Prada menswear FW23 stood out from its new and exciting introductions on the runway, presenting a modern and versatile collection that will undoubtedly influence men’s fashion in the coming season.

Etro – “Etromatters”

Etro’s Men’s FW23 collection, with Creative Director Marco De Vincenzo, had a seventies and bohemian-inspired aesthetic. The collection offered skilled craftsmanship and artisanal details throughout, including a mix of patterns, colors, and textiles, such as paisley prints, and embroidery, as well as a wide range of fabrics, including velvet, wool, and corduroy.

For his first men’s collection with the House, Marco De Vincenzo evolved his creative vision around “matter” as both an homage to the Etro roots and as a way to connect with his own personal past.

Zegna – “The Oasi of Cashmere”

Ermenegildo Zegna is a luxury Italian fashion brand that is known for its use of high-quality fabrics and attention to detail in its design. This season, the Italian brand is introducing “The Oasi of Cashmere,” which represents a quest for excellence and beauty that is captured succinctly in Oasi Cashmere – the ultimate expression of sartorial excellence.

Zegna’s use of cashmere in its menswear collections is well-known, as the brand is one of the world’s largest processors of the finest cashmere wool.

The entire collection screams Italy luxury and elegance and we can’t wait to see this one in stores.
