Miu Miu has launched its Upcycled 2024 collection, a standout addition to its Holiday line-up, introducing a fully designed wardrobe. Marking its fifth edit, the Miu Miu Upcycled initiative has grown into a defining feature of the brand, highlighting the fashion house’ dedication to sustainability and circular fashion.
Since 2020, Miu Miu Upcycled reinvents vintage clothes, turning them into fresh, contemporary pieces while preserving their history. The 2024 collection is built around distinct themes:

The upcycled leather range, first introduced in the F/W 2022 season, brings vintage biker jackets styled with shorts and miniskirts. These jackets are reimagined with floral and flame designs inspired by Miu Miu’s S/S 2011 runway and jewelled embroidery from the A/W 2024 collection. Redesigned with satin quilted linings, detachable collars, raw hems, repositioned zippers, and a carefully handcrafted Miu Miu logo, these jackets showcase craftsmanship at its finest.

The upcycled kilts highlight a variety of tartan patterns enhanced with trompe l’oeil detailing or hand-embroidered gradients of faceted stones. These kilts are restructured to sit low on the hips and are modernized with leather yokes, offering a fresh take on traditional designs.

For the upcycled yarn series, remnants from past collections are transformed into cosy knitwear, including chunky sweaters, hoodies, scarves, and accessories. Finished with the Miu Miu logo in cotton crochet, the collection also includes bold accents like the Wander bag and knitted slippers, making the range playful yet enduring.
To ensure transparency and sustainability, Miu Miu collaborates with the Aura Blockchain Consortium. This partnership provides blockchain verification for every piece in the 2024 collection, highlighting the brand’s commitment to ethical and customer-centred practices.
The Upcycled 2024 collection is featured in Miu Miu’s Holiday campaign, starring actor Emma Corrin in a series of images captured by Lengua. The campaign, inspired by the charm of vintage postcards, highlights the vibrant and eclectic nature of the collection.
