Celine’s video comes after their cancelled Summer 2024 Show

Celine released the runway show video of the cancelled CELINE HOMME Summer ’24 Show. Titled ‘Delusional Daydream’, the video was filmed at La Gaite Lyrique, where the runway show was initially supposed to take place, and also at Le Grand Rex and Monte-Carlo Opera Garnier.

As fans have long demanded, Celine has done justice to ‘The Show That Never Was’. After the cancellation of the Men’s Summer 24 Show in July 2023, Hedi Slimane, the company’s creative director, shot a film the same month. It features classical ballet dancer, Laurid Seidel, who performs in between the runway looks.

Slimane is the person behind the video’s film, photography, casting, collection, styling, and set design. He commissioned the original soundtrack, the extended version of ‘Losing my Edge’. His strong links with the New York art scene enabled him to work with Dash Snow’s estate to choose art works from his archive, including them in the Delusional Daydream collection.

The soundtrack is inspired by LCD Soundsystem and its New York beats. Their cult seminal 2005 eponymous album is revisited by a young and vibrant New York music scene today. The impact is the reason why this show is dedicated to them.

You can watch the show on Instagram, YouTube, or on the official website.
