Precision, Personalization, and the Future of Beauty.
Beauty, wellness, and longevity are converging faster than ever — and the Middle East is at the center of it all. From non-surgical treatments redefining self-care to the rise of social commerce and the GLP-1 effect driving post-weight-loss contouring, the region is setting new global standards. The next era of beauty is smart, seamless, and low-downtime.
Enter Brando Baldan — second-generation president of Baldan Group, Italy’s leader in science-backed, non-invasive technologies spanning dermo-cosmetics, nutrition, and aesthetic devices. With over 8,000 beauty salons, 2,500 pharmacies, and 200 medical practices across Europe, the group has doubled its volume and now turns its focus to the U.S. — and the Middle East.
As Brando lands in Dubai to develop the region’s market, he finds an audience that’s not just ready for innovation — it’s defining it. In this KHAMSA Q&A, he breaks down what “data-driven wellness” really means, why personalization is the new luxury, and how the Middle East is becoming the next global hub for next-gen beauty and longevity.
Scroll down for it all.
١. Brando, beauty and wellness are no longer separate chapters. How is data reshaping the way we think about personalised aesthetics, especially in an age where non invasive is the new luxury?
Beauty and wellness are completely intertwined. Data allows us not to standardize, but to personalize. Non-invasive treatments have become the new expression of luxury — not because they’re simpler, but because they respect each person’s biology, rhythm, and morphology.
At Baldan, we use as many data points as possible — from body composition to lifestyle indicators — to refine protocols in real time. Our R&D team is now developing AI tools to push personalization even further.
But technology alone isn’t enough. Lifestyle guidance remains essential. When tech and habits work together, people don’t just look better — they feel better. That’s the balance we aim for, where wellbeing and aesthetics reinforce one another.
٢. From GLP-1 users to post weight loss contouring, consumers are coming in with specific goals, histories, even wearable data. How do you see technology translating this intimate data into real, visible results?
It’s amazing how normalized data has become — wearables now quantify a person’s journey up to that point. That helps both client and practitioner make better decisions and build smarter protocols. Right now, practitioners use this information in-clinic to adapt treatments, which already improves outcomes. For instance, if a client’s data shows athletic activity, we’ll tailor sessions to enhance performance and recovery. If they’re less active, we adjust to boost circulation and ease them in safely.
Next, we’re connecting our machines directly to wearables and integrating AI to tailor protocols automatically. That’s where personalization becomes precise — treatments that are optimized, visible, and long-lasting.
٣. From Milan, LA to Dubai, your reach is global, and so is the clientele. What differences are you seeing in how people across these regions approach personalized wellness? And how much of that is being influenced by social media?
Working globally teaches you to read culture. In colder countries, people focus on facial treatments. In warmer regions like Southern Europe or Latin America, body treatments dominate.
In the UAE, despite the heat, people are often covered and get little sunlight — which has created huge demand for infrared treatments that replicate the sun’s benefits. Social media, of course, shapes beauty everywhere. It’s unifying standards globally — for better or worse — creating a shared visual language of what beauty looks like.
٤. And finally, let’s say your wellness routine was a playlist. What is the opening track that sets the vibe for a day of science, skincare, and global beauty takeovers?
Something light and steady: a warm-up beat for a quick gym session and simple self-care. The rhythm builds through work, then ends on a high note with tennis in the evening – my favorite sport and my cardio fix. For me, it’s all about consistency, care, and fun, that’s the perfect balance.
