Paris Handbook

Discover the stellar joys of the French capital.

Paris, the eternal muse of dreamers and creatives, beckons with its ineffable charm and unyielding allure. A city where every cobblestone whispers tales of revolutions, romances, and radical artistry, Paris stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of human expression.

This week, ahead of the Paris Fashion Week, KHAMSA travels to the City of Love, guided by a detailed travel handbook from Juny Breeze (@junybreeze on Instagram). A Moroccan-Egyptian fashion entrepreneur, Juny is the founder of JunyBreeze Vintage, a Parisian vintage shop.

Paris has long been romanticized, and rightly so, for its status as a living, breathing canvas that taps into the soul. Within its embrace, creativity is turned up to the max, along with the heightening of the other senses. Indeed, from the scent of freshly-baked baguettes to the sound of street musicians’ soothing melodies, the French capital is a destination of audacious elegance, with every corner ready to present a story to its beholder.

Comfortable but classy walking shoes, winter jacket (even in summer, the weather can shift drastically in a few seconds), an everyday handbag that you can carefully close (pickpockets are smooth), an elegant outfit for a night out or dinner, denims for casual days and top options to go from shopping to classy restaurant. Any tips and tricks to tackle the city?

Don’t mind reactions or moods when interacting here. Enjoy your experience of the beauty of Paris. Be patient with traffic, whether by metro or taxi.

Avoid shopping experiences during weekends, and prefer a spa and chill moment on these days. Book your restaurants as early as possible, as they are often complete weeks ahead. Paris is most enjoyable in the early morning, so make sure to take a morning walk in the city.
