١. Perrotin presents “What Remains” with Daniel Arsham

Perrotin Dubai is set to unveil What Remains, the debut solo exhibition by American artist Daniel Arsham. Opening on October 30, 2025, and running through January 10, 2026, the show marks a milestone — the gallery’s first solo presentation since opening its Dubai outpost.

In What Remains, Arsham continues his excavation of time and memory through a new body of work spanning sculpture, painting, drawing, and sound. Each piece feels like a relic from an imagined future — an echo of the present turned artifact — probing what endures, and what inevitably fades, in our collective cultural memory.

٢. Design Unfold: Edition One took over Kuwait’s Design District

Design Unfold: Edition One took over Kuwait’s Design District on October 26 and 27, turning the space into a living, breathing ecosystem of creativity. Hosted by Arcadia, the two-day event blurred the lines between exhibition, experiment, and exchange — a new kind of design happening for a new era.

Across workshops, talks, and an exclusive inauguration, Design Unfold spotlighted the dialogue between global design heavyweights and Kuwait’s own rising creative voices. More than just a showcase, it felt like a statement: a glimpse into a design scene coming into its own, unafraid to challenge conventions and redefine what craft and innovation can mean in the region.

٣. Abu Dhabi Art and the Year of Community

Abu Dhabi Art is doubling down on its community spirit for the 2025 edition, unveiling a slate of initiatives that blur the boundaries between art, tech, and collective imagination. Anchored in the UAE’s declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community, the fair reaffirms its role as more than an exhibition — it’s a movement built on collaboration, experimentation, and shared creative energy.

This year, the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) teams up with Studio Salasil, the curatorial lab known for its forward-thinking approach, to shape the Community Projects exhibition — a space where process, participation, and public dialogue take center stage. Pushing the intersection of art and innovation even further, Emirati artist and robotics engineer Dr. Ahmed Al Attar leads the Art + Tech programme, guiding students from across the UAE to build a kinetic, interactive work that quite literally moves with its audience.

The Pavilion Prize also returns, spotlighting emerging visionaries Sara Alsehhi and Sarvani Pagadala, while Safekeeping Stories — the poetic, memory-charged installation by Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award winner Hanan Arshad — will finally come to life this November at the fair.

٤. Azza Fahmy Jewellery will be at the Grand Egyptian Museum

Azza Fahmy Jewellery is marking the long-awaited opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) with a moment that feels both intimate and monumental — a retrospective inside its museum boutique that turns jewellery into a living archive.

The space is reimagined as an Ancient Egyptian dreamscape, where archival designs, heritage pieces, and an early glimpse of the upcoming Scarab Collection come together in a shimmering dialogue between eras. It’s a testament to Azza Fahmy’s decades-long obsession with decoding Egypt’s visual language — transforming symbols of eternity, protection, and power into contemporary artefacts of meaning.

Tucked inside is a VIP corner that brings new textures into play: the Scarab Collection sits alongside vibrant Bokja tapestries and the collaborative AFJ x Bokja capsule, where heritage collides with modern craft.

Opening to the public on November 4, as GEM reopens its doors, the showcase feels like more than an exhibition — it’s a love letter to Egyptian design, preservation, and the eternal pulse of creativity.

٦. Hero Experiences Group returns to AlUla

Hero Experiences Group returns to AlUla, inviting travellers to experience the region in ways that transcend sightseeing. Hero Balloon Flights Saudi and Platinum Heritage Saudi have been reimagined — every detail refined to make each moment more immersive, more memorable, and more alive than ever.

At dawn, AlUla’s sandstone valleys stir with light. Hero Balloon Flights lift guests into the sky, where centuries of human history stretch beneath them. This season, every flight carries a new voice: a Saudi Cultural Storyteller, weaving the region’s folklore and the legends of its ancient kingdoms as you drift over an open-air museum carved by time. For private flights, the storyteller becomes an intimate companion, bringing 200,000 years of heritage to life through spoken word.

On the ground, Platinum Heritage Saudi has been transformed after a summer of enhancements. Nestled in a pristine, secluded corner of Sharaan Nature Reserve, the camps merge luxury with the untamed beauty of the desert. From early November, the Sharaan Platinum Dinner Safaris unveil The AlUla Story, a new projection experience crafted with Kseniya Simonova, Ukraine’s Got Talent winner. Canyon walls shimmer with sand art projections, narrating AlUla’s landscapes, history, and culture — a cinematic, almost otherworldly celebration of place and time.
