KHAMSA chats to the Emirati filmmaker.
Abdulla Al Kaabi (@AbdullaAlKaabi on Instagram) is an Emirati filmmaker. He is the director of films like ‘The Philosopher’, ‘Koshk’, and ‘Only Men Go to the Grave’. Born and brought up in the emirate of Fujairah, he studied at the American University of Sharjah and then pursued a Master’s degree in filmmaking in the city of Paris. His first short film, ‘The Philosopher’, starring Jean Reno, was an award-winning work that put him on the map.
