KHAMSA’s visual feature shines a light on photographers’ stellar works.
Aya Elhussieny (@ayaelhussieny_ on Instagram) is a visual artist based in Cairo. Since her childhood, she was interested in playing with colours, textures, and visual perceptions. When she took her first photography course in 2014, she had no idea how much the camera would become her companion throughout her life. She went on to study Radio and TV production, which added to her experience with photography and videography. Currently, she works as a video producer, editor, and filmmaker.
Aya’s favourite kind of photography is experimental photography. It gives her the freedom to explore elements mixing in ways we don’t witness normally.
