Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, in partnership with Sandooq Al Watan, will host the Youth Cultural Summit on August 26 at Etihad Museum. The event, led by the Dubai Culture Youth Council with support from the Dubai Youth Council, will spotlight young voices shaping the future of arts and culture. Through brainstorming sessions, workshops, and the interactive National Culture Lab, the summit will explore themes such as creative engagement, youth contributions to national identity, collaboration with policymakers, and building sustainable cultural projects. It will also feature the National Culture Pioneers exhibition, showcasing innovative projects and achievements that celebrate the richness of Emirati culture.

Dubai is gearing up for a massive night of music as Italian artist and innovator Anyma (Matteo Milleri) brings his Quantum show to the Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience on October 31, marking his first-ever solo performance in the city. Known for pushing the boundaries of electronic music with cutting-edge visuals, emotional storytelling, and themes of technology and nature, Anyma has already made waves with residencies in Ibiza and at Sphere Las Vegas. Sony Middle East and Africa marked World Photography Day by announcing the winners of its Student Photography Competition, launched in July under the theme “The Art of Noticing.” The contest drew over 350 entries from universities across the UAE, including the American University in Dubai, Heriot-Watt University, the University of Wollongong in Dubai, and Manipal University. First place went to Mydhil Krishna for a striking photo of a couple sharing a quiet sunrise moment by an old tree. Faseeh Fawaz earned second place with his image titled “A seller by trade, a noticer by heart,” while Umar Akram took third place with “A Ray of Hope.” Praising the winners, Sony’s Managing Director Jobin Joejoe said the competition aimed to inspire young creators to pause, observe, and tell powerful stories through photography — a vision the company will continue to support in nurturing the next generation of talent.
